Fantastic Flowers
I was pushing for a Spring wedding just so we could use tulips--my favorite flower. Since we were officially engaged on January 11th, 2007, my mother-in-law was already surprised to hear we were getting married so early. "This JUNE???" (as in 5.5 months later!) So, a May 5th wedding would have been cutting it a bit close (although, I noted by May 5th, I was ready to go!) Here is one of my favorite bouquets by Martha Stewart. Wouldn't those be fantastic centerpieces? Completely simple, but beautiful on standard white linens. A vase like that you could get at IKEA for a fantastic price, and when tulips are in season, you can get a good price on the flowers in bulk from a flower wholesaler.

tulips are my favorite as well, but I was in the same situation... we couldn't get married til June, so no tulips :(
As a native of "Tulip Time" city, I, too, wanted tulips. But, since I got married in September, it didn't work. I do truly love this bouquet, though!
Roses roses roses!!! But I love tulips because it means Spring is here!
Tulips are definitely a favorite flower of mine, but orchids top the list as my all-time favorite.
Other's to note though are:
Peonies (gorgeous in a bouquet!)
Hydrangea
Ranunculus, and
Freesia
Peonies are my fav! ;) Unfortanutely they aren't in season in October when we were married. I really liked the hydrangeas my florist picked from her own garden to use in my centerpieces though.(which I dried and now have on display in our house!).. and I settled for a close second fav.- tiger lillies- for my bouquet.
