Linens. Glorious linens!
When figuring out your budget, some things must get "put on the back burner". Personally, I didn't even think about spending money on linens. With working catering for 2 years, I knew that standard white linens would be fine for me. I did find some brown table runners, secondhand, which were inexpensive and I actually sold them to someone else before my wedding. My parents shipped them to her while we were on our honeymoon!
One day, though, I got an email from a friend asking about chair covers. I had NO intentions of spending an extra $400 to cover chairs. Who would notice that? But then I saw a picture of my venue without the chair covers and though "oh man, we're going to NEED them." So, I found a lady who rented them, and we installed them ourselves, saving $1 per chair ($140 + tax) on them. I loved the look of our room and am so glad we decided on this. This picture above from Jasmine Star is just gorgeous and perfect for the black and white wedding. Ah, pure elegance.

Hi Aletha,
I see that you snuck on over to my blog and didn't say hi! Thanks so much for the link love; much appreciated. This is a beautiful example of a black and white affair by the way! Take care, love your blog,
Lisa
I saw this on Jasmine's blog earlier today. I love her work. This setup is really gorgeous! :)
LOVE THIS!
I love the black & white. So chic! I was a linen freak for our wedding... chair covers, gold overlays, gold sashes and all in an effort to compliment my dress. I was a bit obsessed... like Goldmember!
I love the brocade look. This looks like something out of the pages of brocadehome.com, which I'm slightly obsessed with. I'm not a big fan of chair covers, but table linens can make such a tremendous difference!
