It Started With A Cottage
Melissa & Kyle hired Pearls Events last fall to help plan their September 2008 wedding. The couple rented a beautiful cottage on Lake Michigan for the week of their wedding and were up in West Michigan recently to go over some details.
The couple knew that they wanted to serve gourmet sandwiches to their 72 guests, and Melissa found this great post with these beverage jars to serve lemonade and iced tea. She is also going to attempt to DIY the sandwiches picks and those Martha Stewart pom-poms for the tent. They decided on Marie Catrib's for catering those yummy sandwiches and they had already booked the fabulous Amy Carroll for photography. AND they are using one of my favorite cake bakers, Sweet Cakes Design. Many other details are still up in the air, but we had a great planning session.
I hope the above photos inspire some of you summer brides out there!

I love it! And it makes me so excited for summer when I see this, considering it is cold and miserable here!
This makes me even more excited to photograph their wedding this summer! Marie Catrib's and Barb Hoek...too perfect!
does anyone know of a link to those pom poms - I think they make such a great decor element in leiu of lots of floral arrangements. Thanks
Aww, thanks, Aletha! We're very excited. It's nice that things are coming together.
As for those pom poms, you can find the instructions on Martha Stewart's website, just search for pom poms under her wedding tab!
