7 possibly strange things about Aletha
- On an 8th grade field trip to Chicago, I climbed out the window onto the roof of the hotel. I'm not even sure why I did this, but I'm almost certain it was to impress a boy.
- I cannot play any musical instruments. I cannot even read music! I was in band in the 5th grade for one week. I choose the flute and would pretend to play in class. It was horrible!
- I love hanging out with my grandmother. Not just stopping by to say hello, but taking week-long vacations to spend time with her in S. California. I love hearing all of her stories about when she was a kid, what she wore to school and how life was in the 40's & 50's.
- I am a bit obsessed with the 50's & 60's. If I could wear a twinset everyday, I totally would. Too bad the ones I love are from JCrew and Banana, so I would spend a forture on fine gauge wool. I would also love to sport a nice, full skirt, bobby socks and saddle shoes. Ooh, and a bubble flip hair-do. I'm not joking.
- I love pearls. (hence the name of the business) But, the funny thing is I don't enjoy wearing them. I think my skin is too fair--they sort of blend in.
- My hair is naturally curly--and I love it! People ask me all of the time about my "perm" and it annoys me. Of course, in Jr. High School I absolutely hated it, but now I just go with the flow. People ask if I ever straighten it, and believe me--you do NOT want to see me with straight hair. It's scary.
- I was never a "dog person" until I got my own dog. Now I want to pet every single dog I come in contact with.

I love pearls, but also hate wearing them. The sound of two pearls hitting each other makes my teeth hurt. Is that weird?
