Where am I sitting?
This evening I met with one of my lovely brides (HI KATHRYN!) and she told me her escort cards are going to be Jenga pieces. I thought that was a fun idea, especially since they met while playing Jenga at O'Tooles. Later, Will proposed to her by writing "Will you marry me?" on each piece of a Jenga game so no matter which one she pulled from the tower, she'd get the right question. Brillant, Will!People often ask me if they need to have escort cards. My answer is always "of course you don't need to have them, but it makes seating for your guests easier." It might be a huge pain in the butt for you to figure out where your guests are going to dine, but it's less awkward for your guests when they arrive. It also eliminates the late arrivals having to squeeze in, possibly not finding an open spot with their date.
There are many unique ways to show guests where they will be sitting for dinner and a well thought out escort card leaves a great first impression. There are many great ideas on The Knot.
