grand rapids news :: andicott's closes its doors suddenly
For those of you not from the West Michigan area, Andicott's was a European-style fresh flower shop which was perfect for DIY brides who wanted to order their own flowers, come in to their workshop and put together everything themselves days before their own wedding.
I used Andicott's for my own wedding, and a few of my clients have used them too. In fact, I was just there last Saturday to pick up centerpiece vases a client had rented. I just found a blog post here, so check it out if you're interested. It's still a "breaking story" so there isn't much.
I wanted to keep all of you Grand Rapids brides posted in case you were thinking of using them for your wedding.

WOW! That can leave quite a mess!
I hope that brides have enough time to make some big changes if neccessary! YIKES!

I can't believe this! I'm so sad, I love that place, I hope they can figure a way to re-open.
Oh NO! I wonder if the new owner killed himself due to the financial issues talked about in the mlive article. That's really sad for everyone, but incredibly unfortunate for the brides-to-be. I hope other local businesses are kind to these brides!
To local Brides who have been left hanging by this sudden closure and have a wedding soon: please contact my friend Amy who owns her own floral farm in Lowell, MI and sells cut flowers and also designs bouquets/centerpieces, she is very reasonable and wonderful to work with. I am sure she will help out as many of you as she can!
