My day began at 1pm as I arrived at the adorable church by Lake Macatawa in Holland. Hair + makeup started, followed by the girls slipping into their gowns for photos. The boys were busy getting ready down the street at the Eric's parent's home.

Christina + Eric decided to do a First Look with their photographer, which meant a ton of time for some awesome photos! Leda of LVL Photography and her second shooter had a great time with this wedding party--they were a complete blast. Ooh, and their dog, Argon, was even around for some photos.

At 5:15 their 60-some guests started arriving at the quaint church, and at 5:30, the 'maids and the bride + her father walked down the aisle. After the ceremony, guests were off to the Alpenrose to enjoy drinks and some of the best looking appetizers I've seen all year. I arrived at the reception and was impressed with the gorgeous woodwork and all of the windows, letting in the August evening sunlight. Their adorable cake was cut just prior to toasts, and everyone was served the combination plate of steak + salmon, which was amazing. Guests enjoyed their slice of cake while the couple enjoyed their first dance. Rich from Moonlighting did an lovely job keeping the crowd happy all evening with requested '80's dance music! And about a 1/2 hour before the end of the evening, the staff at Alpenrose served each guest a shot glass of milk, with a cookie on top--it was totally adorable and all the guests were raving about it! I loved that detail the most.

Eric + Christina are such a sweet couple, and SO in-love. Eric had the biggest smile on his face the entire day that no one could miss. I am, as always, so honored they chose to work with me on their wedding day. LVL Photography will have some photos sometime soon and I will be posting a photo preview as soon as I get them.
