liene stevens :: {how to kill your blog}
If you are reading this blog, you most likely have a whole slew of blogs you follow. There are millions to choose from, so why do you keep coming back? Why do you quit reading? Liene Stevens, of The Smart Planner, shared some insight on how to run your blog into the ground. If you blog, especially for your business, please read Liene's Twitter series right now.
What is Twitter, you ask? Ksenija Savic posted a great little video on her blog in case you want to know more.
Some of my favorite points for killing your blog...
4. Grow an ego. You are not as famous as you think. You are not a household name outside the wed industry. So be nice.
3. Turn comments off. Blogging is a conversation, not a monologue. Moderate in batches if need be, but allow comments.
2. Write only about your products & special offers. Again, no one cares. Give them something personal & useful.
And my personal favorite?
1. Apologize for your lack of blogging. Cut that out because no one cares. Just launch into your new post.

loooove that twitter series!
It is kinda funny the ones who do apologize a lot for not blogging tend to do it maybe once or twice a month and then it just dies.
Thanks so much for posting this! I so agree about the apologizing for not posting. If you're going to post, post already! LOL
Aren't these so true! I had never really put much thought into it until Liene started her series, but they are definitely helpful things to keep in mind!
The series was {and is} a must read. Your favs are also at the top of my list. So glad to have gotten in the twitter nest:)
I'm so glad people are enjoying it and finding it useful!
I don't usually seek out peoples tweets, but I loved reading all of those. I'll never understand those who apologize for not blogging over and over and over. Who are they apologizing to?
