Vase of Tulips as Centerpieces
This is not the first time I've blogged about my favorite bloom. I expressed my love for tulips in October of 2007 on the blog, and I'm still in love with the fabulously modern, chic, and simple centerpiece you can create with a vase of tulips.
This weekend, Deanna & Ryan did just that. They decided on black table linens, gray napkins, white china, clear stemware and then clear vases with bright yellow tulips to add a punch of color to each table. It was absolutely stunning, simple, modern and was so SPRING, that I couldn't stop looking at the blooms!
Although I love mixed flower bouquets more and more, using a single flower in clusters makes quite an impact. From peonies and hydrangea, to classic roses and orchids - each flower on their own, arranged properly, is classic, yet modern, and if the flower is in season, can be quite affordable too. And don't forget about carnations - they can be modernly chic using a single color and tightly packing them in a vase.

BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE TULIPS!!
So lovely!! I miss the tulips in Holland - not so much with Tulip Time but I loved all the flowers!
Tulips definitely rank among the highest in my list of favorite flowers. I think they're classy, elegant, and really simply lovely. With all the different colors, you can evoke different moods. Carnations are a great lot too!
