Taking Time to Relax Before Your Big Day
Wedding planning season in West Michigan is just getting underway, and I want to encourage all of you brides-to-be (and wedding vendors too!) to take some time for yourself - yes, even in the last few days of your engagement.
I continually hear former brides tell me they wish they would have just stepped back and relaxed a bit before their big day. All of those little projects that pop up last minute (printing DIY programs, last-minute changes to the seating chart, picking up pens for the guest book) can be delegated - to helpful aunts, organized sisters, thoughtful moms - so that it alleviates the to-dos from your plate. I have seen my own friends doing last-minute projects the night before their wedding and it completely stresses me out.
What do I recommend you do the day before your wedding? Fit in some morning yoga, get a pedicure, have a massage, eat a glorious lunch with your girlfriends, enjoy your ceremony rehearsal and welcome dinner and then get some much-needed sleep. It's going to be a fun and exhausting wedding day, so be sure your body is ready for it.

good advice, Aletha!
Couldn't agree more! Brides should give themselves a deadline of one week before the wedding for any DIY projects and then give themselves a break! It's no fun to be stressed out on your wedding day!
So true! My season started at the beginning of April this year {way early!} and I'm already dragging.
I've committed to getting a massage every 2 weeks, and daily outdoor walks at 6:30am.
I feel much more focused once that's done!
