Great Find | Design Your Own Nina Shoe

I'm not a shoe person, so I distinctively remember buying my first pair of heels for a high school dance. They were black satin Nina's that I found at one of my favorite discount stores, TJ Maxx. They made me feel a little older and a little taller when I wore them.

Yesterday, Daisy, an unofficial correspondent for the Pearls Events blog, sent over the link to Nina's new Design Your Own Shoes site. It is fabulous - with four styles, various heel heights, sixteen color choices and three different color combinations available on each shoe, a custom shoe is finally affordable for a bride!

At $200 a pair, it might not be the most affordable option for six bridesmaids, but if you're looking for a fun shoe to wear under your wedding gown, design your own today.

A Twist to the Ball of Carnations

I have blogged about my love for carnations a couple of times, (here and here) however this twist on the popular ball of carnations recently caught my eye. The creation by Larry Wood of Ninth Street Flowers in Durham, NC and is modern, stunning and eye-catching.

Thanks to Daniel J. Pesta for sending over this image. He recently captured this image at an industry event in North Carolina - and I love it!

Real Wedding 2009 | Lindsay & Brian

Lindsay & Brian were blessed with an AMAZING wedding day in Glen Arbor, Michigan on September 12, 2009. Kelly Sweet captured the day beautifully and I am excited to be sharing the images today. This is a small sampling of the images Kelly shared on her blog, so if you're dying to see more of this wedding, check out Kelly's blog post here.

Weekend Eye Candy

Lisa Kae traveled to my favorite Canadian vacation spot, Lake Louise, earlier this year to capture the wedding of Ashleigh and Nathan. I don't have much to say about this wedding except that it is unlike anything I've seen before!

I also had the chance to visit Lake Louise this year, for the second time in my life. There are a few photos from my personal road trip here if you missed them before.

Great Find | Gloria Wong Design

Sometimes I feel as though as I am out of the loop when it comes to event designers. I get stuck in my own little world on the Internet - not exploring new websites or blogs, simply because I read so many already.

Recently Jill of Cora Anne Designs, sent over the gorgeous website of Gloria Wong Design. The designs were so lovely, I was inspired to share them with you. I hope they bring some inspiration to your Thursday.
