Spring | A Much Needed Break from Winter
Happy Cinco De Mayo! Even though I'm not Mexican, May is a time to celebrate - it is one of my favorite months because my yard is in bloom, wedding season is before me, and I love this weather. And since our team meeting on Sunday, I know this year is going to be better than ever.
I wanted to show off some photos of my yard in full bloom! Last November, I planted over 150 new bulbs - and over the past few weeks, they have been blooming like mad. My favorites are the orange parrot tulips by the front door, and a giant orangey-red double tulip from a few weeks ago.
After five years living here, I finally ordered a new address plaque for the front of our home. I don't know why I put it off so long - it's MUCH better than our dinky little numbers we had previously. And with this fabulous weather, it's grilling season. I picked up some fresh Michigan asparagus last night at Horrocks, and Greg grilled it up on our Weber right away.
Spring makes me happy, and with wedding season around the corner, I'm enjoying every ounce of time at home with Greg before all the nice days are spent working! (That's right - no rain for my clients this year. I put in a special request...)

Happy (almost) summer!

I commend your patience for planting over 150 bulbs! Your flowers are looking lovely. And those photos are fantastic! I feel like I'm actually there!
I love your tulips, Aletha! So beautiful! The red and white one is my favorite, I think. No wait, the parrot tulip. No wait... oh nevermind. I love them all! :-)
